Le Roland E36
Rappelez-vous, Rock Candy fut un des premiers modules que j’ai réalisé… en 1995 ! Il s’agissait d’une ré-écriture au format Fast Tracker, d’une partition de guitare de mon frangin Pype… Dans ma petite folie de ré-arrangement à la sauce « Synthé Roland Midi » de plusieurs titres (3D.mod, Liquid – Ambient Zing, Go for it, BLS – Mr Keel Theme), j’avais ensuite embrayé sur ce petit titre, afin de lui donner une couleur… plus rock !!
Quoi il en soit, cette idée était vraiment stupide, puisque tuant toute la magie du format SoundTracker… Mais à l’époque j’étais tellement exciter à l’idée de pouvoir disposer d’un super synthé Midi Roland, que je ne m’en rendais pas compte !
Remember, Rock Candy was one of my first module i realised in 1995. It was a rewritten on Fast Tracker format from a guitar partition of my bros Pype. During this 97 summer i was so excited to soon have my brand new Roland syntesizer that i began to rewrite lot of songs with the sample set i’ve recorded from the Roland E38 of Laurent Mazzapicchi… working on 3D.mod, Liquid – Ambient Zing, Go for It, BLS – Mr Keel Theme and Rock Candy…
It was sure a stupid idea that left all the magical potion of the Sound Tracker sounds… but at that time i was so excited to this new Midi quality that i can’t understand it !

Ré-arrangement de ce slow composé en mars 96, un an plus tôt sur base de samples tirés du synthé de Laurent Mazzapicchi… Le résultat sonne du coup nettement moins « Démoscène »… A l’heure actuelle, les sons du Roland E36 donne un mauvais gout d’instrument midi, mais pour l’époque, ma carte son Midi était bien incapable de produire de telles sonorités, et l’échantiollanage du Roland me permettait de donner plus de réalisme à mes créations.

Re-arrangement from a slow i’ve written in march 96 with samples i’ve recorded out of the Roland E36 of my friend Laurent Mazzapicchi. The new result sounds not so Scenemusic and have a Midi Touch that now sounds average. Anyway at that time, my Midi SoundCard was just able to play FM instrument, so sampling the Roland synthesizer let me give more realism to my creation.

Coool, pour les vacances de carnaval, mon ami Parmy (Laurent Mazzapicchi) m’avait prêté son synthétiseur Roland E36, disposant de sons bien plus modernes que mon actuelle Yamaha. Je m’étais donc rapidement lancé à sampler les instruments de celui-ci, puis à imaginer de nouvelles musiques…
Voici donc un premier morceau de Trance Music plutôt réussi mais qui pourtant ne finira pas sur l’album CD…. Bref, si vous avez besoin de musiques pour vos jeux et démos… prennez contact avec moi !

Kwel, holiday’s time and my friend Parmy borrowed me his Roland E36 syntesizer with modern instrument compare to my old Yamaha. So i’ll quickly start to sample it and began new songs.
This first trance song was great, anyway it was not added on the CD album Divagation… You need songs for your games and demos… contact me !
Mc Piet (Martin) Scream Tracker III – 80386 DX 40 – MOD
Au premiers à bord, ce nouveau morceau Techno semble très basique, et pourtant il a un peu de personnalité. Basé sur une série d’instruments issus de Roland E36 de Parmy, le son de basse électronique est un classique. Les sons vocaux sont dans l’ambiance, et issu du groupe Altern 8.
Le titre n’est pas répétitif, et propose quelques variations…
Dédicace du jour : Parmy (Laurent Mazzapicchi), Pascal Deiting, Salvator Canicatti, Caroline Lepaily et Sabine Fontaine.
It’s not just a techno song, this one have personnality. Written around lot of instruments sampled out of my friend Laurent Mazzapicchi’s Roland E36 and his charismatic electronic bass. I also used some vocal samples from Altern 8. This techno song is absolutly not repetitive.

Avec la K7 que Laurence Thurion m’avait donnée, j’avais bien plus de matière première « Albert Cougnet » que ce que je n’avais utilisé dans le premier module… Une « face B » était donc d’actualité…
Les samples de cette Face B ont par la suite été utilisés dans la version 98, réalisée sur un ordinateur permettant de gérer plus de samples.
L’arrangement musicale avait quant lui été réalisé sur base d’instrument samples du synthé Roland de Parmy (Laurent Mazzapicchi), pour une résultat nettement pèche, mais permettant de ne pas devoir accélérer les voix.
With the video tape given by Laurence Thurion, i had more than enough to create my song about Albert Cougnet… so i have written a « B Face ».
In the 98 version, i have mixed all those vocal samples, as i had a better computer, but here the only 1mo of memory don’t let me add all the saples.
The musical arrangement was realised around instrument that i’ve sample out of the synthesizer Roland E36 of my friend Laurent Mazzapicchi… for slower and not so punchy result… but that let me user non accelerated vocals.
