354. Dark City Invasion

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker II – Pentium 120 – S3M

As if i no more used Scream Tracker III since few month, i still saved my songs under the .S3M file format and then was not able to use the power of Impulse Tracker.

But it was not a problem. The .IT format seemed for me not enough global compare to the S3M that Fast Tracker, Cubic Player of the PPP Team Software Assembler Dos-Player  could read.

So, there is a song written for the introduction ambiance of my Shoot’m up project, where ennemis invade the city.

Hi JedD, Tbob, Parmy and Delph.

348. Badman & Rubish Bin : Kaktus Battle

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker II – Pentium 120 – S3M

Still sounding too much techno, this track « Kaktus Battle », realised with samples from the soundtracker module of Terminal Velocity was written for the final level of the egyptian zone of Badman II… fighting again a giant cactus getting out a time distortion realised by the Badboys.

328. Falling in love (monaster mix)

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – IT

Cyborg Jeff is back from his illness and was totaly motivated to upgrade his musical skills.

The song « Encore une fois » from DJ Sash! turned in my head and i realy would like to do something that sounded like that. Close to B.B.E. and Innerworlds melodies, using some inspiration from DJ MD et Deep Zone… I started this new trance song.

This one was written for Delphine, as you could mention the monaster mix that was a reference to the place where she lived, close to the Saint Roch monaster, lost in the Belgian Ardennes.

Falling in love could be find in the re-edition of the CD Album : Planer n’est pas jouer, as if it was written after the original K7 version in 1997. That song was a part of my commercial trance compilation called : Trance Tornade volume 2 and was also a main track of the K7 album : Trip to Ferrières released in the end of february.

327. Trip to Aywaille city

DJ T-Cake (Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – IT

That year, the parents of my friend Valentin invited me to spend days on Sun Park ! That was the first time i went on such weekend and with my friends Valentin and Simon, it will be realy fun, and especially cause i turn to 19 that day.

Swimming pools, fun, girls… yes, there, Valentin’s familly find back their friends and their daughter Delphine and her friend Céline. The weekend would be realy kwel, as if a Cyborg Jeff without his glasses won’t see right.

I found Delphine realy kwel and cute, so back at home i had inspiration on a song called Trip to Aywaille city cause she lived there…

Musicaly it’s a trance song not so far from B.B.E. as other stuff i made at that period, but also it get inspiration from the single track DJ MD – Rio that my brother gift me for my birthday. Once again stereo rending was may to separated, but at that time, i still worked in mono.

So may you’ve mentionned that i have signed this song not Cyborg Jeff but DJ-T-Cake. that means « Tronche de Cake », a belgian expression that say : i was ill and don’t fit well !

326. Badman & Rubish Bin in the blizzard

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – S3M

Here is a great ambient video game song… After have lost the glacial sound track for Bilou’s Adventure, i started another one for our heroes Badman & Rubish Bin that should go through a polar level after the toy factory in the 3rd episode.

Unfortunatly, as many others tunes written for P.P.P. Team games at that time, the Game Maker sound engine only support .CMF files and we never succeed to let it sounds with those songs…

325. Alors regarde « dance track »

Cyborg Jeff (Pierre Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – S3M

Petit coucou à tous mes amis : Len Sapp, V-Drums (Vivien Vanoirbeek), Pype, Parmy (Laurent Mazzapicchi), DJ Dim (Dimitri Laermans), JedD (Jean-Denis Magis), Pierrick Hansen, Tbob (Valentin Boigelot), Franco (François Baré), Natacha…

Well, i am absolutly not a fan of the french singer Patrick Bruel, anyway his song « Alors regarde » was in our musical reportory in our rock band. A song that my sister and brother realy liked.

So that day, i was reading or musical partition and would like to try a dance remix… Finaly my version was far from the original Patrick Bruel song, anyway if you’ll sing « Alors regarde, regarde un peu… » that suite !

324. Dance Mix 7

mixed by Cyborg Jeff (Pierre Martin) Fast Tracker II, Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – IT

Top Hits 97

On y retrouvai donc : Gala – Freed from desire, The Prodigy – Breathe, Mankey – Believe in me, Rob Tissera – Kick up the volume, Gibson Brothers – Happy people, une impro perso et un Techno Fluo basé sur une idée de Parmesan (Laurent Mazzapicchi).

Well i’m proud of this new megamix. For my birthday, my best friend Vivien Vanoirbeek gift me the CD compilation Top Hit 97 where i could listen to the best Techno and Dance track of this first month of the year 1997. That was a good opportunity to start a megamix project with actual tracks, using the sampler of Fast Tracker II and the power of Impulse Tracker… I could play the DJ !

You’ll find : Gala – Freed from Desire, The Prodigy – Breath, Mankey – Believe in me, Rob Tissera – Kick up the volume and Gibson Brothers – Happy people close to a personnal creation and an idea of my friend Parmesan called : Techno Fluo.

I also used some samples recorded from Double Vision, Paradisio, Huff n Puff, H2SO4 and Strike.

That track should be present of my first CD Album Divagation, cause i’m realy proud of it, but that would be the first CD Album we created with the brand new CD Bruner of my friend Vivien… So we are not sure if we could add it, for authorts rights aspect… As if this album would burn just for me and my friend Valentin.

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – S3M

For all the one who loved my piano’s melody from the year 1996, i would like to write a new song, with some trance aspect but with a lot of magical feeling… Inspirated from the sound track of the game Innerworld and using some excellent piano’s samples from Romeo Knight, the result are dreaming. I had mentioned that i was a lot inspirated from the Romeo Knight song, Boesendorfer, but after hearing it now, the both songs was enough different.

Planer n’est pas jouer was a master piece of the K7 Tape album realised in 1997 before being re-edited in a CD format and on Jamendo in 2007. On the original cover, you could see Lara Croft flying up a Chess play.

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – S3M

321. Jack Boost (Panzer attack)

Cyborg Jeff (Martin) Impulse Tracker – Pentium 120 – S3M

Here is a new Hard Metal rock song written for the band Jaunty Step from Alain Gillon, Benoit Remy, Sébastien Jeunhomme and Karolos Moutzurelis… But it was also the sound track of our PPP Team Software game : Panzer III starring Jack Boost, in a Metal Slug like arcade game.

I also have written some lyrics for that song, but i should find back the book.
