Voici un titre un peu plus Techno House travaillé sur base de sons un peu aquatiques issus du super synthé de mon ami Parmy (Laurent Mazzapicchi)… A leur coté, un sample tiré du CD Single de mon ami Vivien Vanoirbeek de Snow – Informer (1993).
C’est assez marrant car j’ai appelé cela « Titanic Mix », bien avant que le film ne débarque…

Here is a Techno House track written around the aquatic sounds of the kwel synthesizer of my friend Parmy, using sample from the 93’s hit : Snow – Informer.
It was funny to mention that i’ve called it « Titanic Mix » before the movies arrives…

Bon… c’est vrai on entend le sample de The Sound of C, hit New Beat du groupe belge Confetti’s… il y a un petit air d’Acid Music derrière tout cela… mais il faut bien dire que la ressemblance s’arrête là !
J’ai personnellement une bonne série de vinyle de ce groupe phare de ma jeunesse… mais je n’ai que depuis peu le 45 tours de The Sound of C, abandonné par mes voisins lors d’un vide grenier ! … Merci Judith 😉
Yep, that’s right, you could here the vocal sample « This is the sound of C » from the belgian house hits of Confetti’s… Right it sounds acid music… but no more conclusion, it’s not a remix… just a basic techno sounds.

track 14, Gimme an Amiga (1996-2012)
Avec ce nouveau morceau je me lançais dans un petit défis d’animation sous mon Scream Tracker III. Ce nouveau titre, orienté Trance reprend pas mal d’éléments que l’on retrouve dans les morceaux Trance – House qui marche de l’époque… un string hachés, des sons à la B.B.E., des variations de tempos… Le titre était très entrainant, et j’ai eu alors envie de transcender les petites animations que je réalisais parfois dans mon soft de création musicale… Jetter un oeil à la vidéo au niveau des 3 premières pistes… Creative Sound Studio apparait en animation « plop », suivi d’un rideau de « String Tracking »… puis les lettres de by Cyborg Jeff qui tombe et file à droite sous un « fiooouw »… pour laisser place un scroll text « String Tracking »… une fameuse chipoterie hein !
Le morceau plaisait énormément à mon frangin Pype, c’est pourquoi j’ai un peu plus tard, réalisé une version 6 pistes adaptée à son player S3M codé en Assembleur.
Ces petites animations m’avaient pris un temps de fou… et pas de chance une mauvaise manipulation me fit appuyer sur la touche interdite ‘²’ qui fait planter Scream Tracker 🙁 … j’ai donc dû tout recommencer le lendemain…

With this new track, I launched me a challenge with a new animation in Scream Tracker III. This trance song was influenced by a lot of Trance-House hit with cutted string, B.B.E. inspiration and tempo variations. So i would like to create a powerfull text animation with my audio software. So have a look to the three first tracks… Creative Sound Studio appears with a « plop » animation, then a row of « String Tracking » and the letters of « by cyborgjeff » falling from the sky…
And you should know during i was working hard on that, i push the bad button « ² » that make crashed Scream Tracker… So i should restarted it the next day…
This song also be rewrite in 6 tracks cause my bros Pype realy like it… So then could be compatible with the S3M player he coded in ASM.

Dans la lignée de Tokyo is burning, voici un autre morceau techno-house avec une intro un peu déjantée… Doctor House est un petit clin d’oeil à une émission radio que j’écoutais étant jeune présentée par Doc & Difool sur Fun Radio 😉 … Le morceau est très rétro house et on sent déjà un peu des sons que l’on retrouvera dans mon premier album CD, Divagation qui verra le jour en mars 1997.
In the same mood of Tokyo is burning, here is a techno house track with a mad introduction… Doctor House was a funny poke to a broadcast i listen on Fun Radio presented by Doc & Difool… This retro house track allready used some sounds that you’ll find in the forcoming first CD album i’ll finished in april 1997 : Divagation.

Courant juillet je m’étais mis à commencer un nouveau mégamix un peu Techno Hardcore avec mon ami DJ Dub (Christophe Deblire), partant des CDs qu’ils avaient amené ce jour là : Techno Trance 2 et 3 ainsi que le House Party VIII. J’étais moyennement convaincu du résultat et j’avais laissé là le travail. Et ce jour là, mon autre copain amateur de Hardcore, MegG (Laurent Rosati) passait à la maison et je lui fait écouter… « T’es fou, c’est tout bon ça » me dit-il… et me voilà donc qui me remet à l’ouvrage… Au final le mégamix sera sacrément gourmand et se terminera même par une petite compo Trance personnel.
Tout de même 28 samples et 50 patterns, dont les 25 premiers écris donc au mois de juillet.
During july i’ve started a new megamix with techno hardcore sounds that my friend DJ Dub took with him : Techno Trance 2 & 3 and the House Party VIII. I was not so happy of the result and leave the work. But that day, my friend MegG also fan of Hardcore listen that project and told me.. No continue man.. That rocks !… So i started back and finalise it with a personnal trance composition.
The final result is a big soundtrack with 28 samples and 50 patterns. I mixed De Euromaster – Alles naar de kloten, Vicious Delicious – Hocus Pocus, DJ Ramirez, Sequencial – Psychotronic, Charly Lownoise – DJ Fuck…

Voici donc le Digital Mix 4… ne cherchez pas les autres, enfait je m’étais un peu meler pinceaux entre le Digital Mix 1 réalisé courant mai, et les Dance Mix 1,2,3 réalisé fin 95… Ce titre aurait dû être le Dance Mix 4… mais voilà, bref je me lançais là dans l’idée de faire un nouveau megamix, qui tournera plutôt court. En effet on y retrouve tout d’abord Technotronic – Pump up the Jam (), dont Pierre Versali m’avait trouvé une série de sample, puis ensuite Black Box – Ride on time (), dont j’avais réalisé les samples hors de mon CD The Ultimate House…. à cela s’enchaineront 2 très rapides compositions personnelles : Piano Maestro et Sugar Girl.
Le tout avec un petit Joyeux Anniversaire à mon paternel.
Here come the Digital Mix 4. Don’t search after older one, i have made a mistake… confusing Digital Mix 1 and Dance Mix 1,2,3… That should be the Dance Mix 4. Well i hade a new idea for a megamix… a small megamix using first Technotronic – Pump up the jam, that my friend Pierre Versali found me in soundtracker format, then Black Box – Ride on time that i’ve sample some instrument from the CD Compilation The Ultimate House… then I added to personnal compositions in that mood calling : Piano Maestro and Sugar Girl.

Voici donc une transposition du titre techno de 1992, House Nation, premier single de la formation Néérlandaise The Ultimate Seduction. Le titre n’a rien d’extraordinaire, mais il s’agit d’un des grands tubes techno de l’époque… La transposition au formation .MOD n’était pas trop difficile, de nombreux sons seuls était facile à récupérer du titre original, et je me suis enregistré modestement pour les voix… J’avais également utilisé quelques sons supplémentaires tirés de Moby et Teknohaus.
Ce genre de petit projet me donne l’occasion de pousser un peu plus loin la découverte du groupe The Ultimate Seduction dont je n’ai ensuite plus jamais entendu parlé. Koen Groendveld et Addy Van der Zwan ont pourtant réalisé une série d’autre singles plus hardcore sous ce nom, jusqu’en 2003, dont 2 remixs de ce titre…. dont un titre « The Ultimate Seduction » (1992) assez proche de Pull Over, bien connu également à l’époque… Ce sont également derrière d’autres formations techno, tel que dans 2Hi – Jump a little hi-er (1992), Frantic Explosion – Boom Bang (1993), Infectious – I need your lovin’ (1993) et continuent maintenant depuis 1995 sous le nom de Klubbheads, dont certains titres plus récents m’ont inspirés plus tard…
Here is a rework of the techno track from 1992 : House Nation, first single of the dutch formation The Ultimate Seduction. This title had nothing special, just a techno tube from that year. So .MOD transcription was not hard to do cause it was easy to sample alone instruments in the original track, then i just had to record my personnal voice for vocals. I also added some instrument sampled out of Moby and Teknohauss tracks.
Speaking about that project, let me made search about that formation The Ultimate Sedcution. Koen Groendveldt and Addy Van der Zwan have realised some other tracks under that name during ten years including two remix of House Nation, and espcially a song called « the ultimate seduction » in 1992 close to another hit techno song : Pull Over. They also were under other formation as 2Hi – Jump a little hi-er (1992), Frantic Explosion – Boom Bang (1993), Infectious – I need your lovin’ (1993) and now working under Klubbheards since 1995.

Il y a des fois où j’ai cruellement manqué d’originalité pour trouver un titre à mon morceau. Pourtant ce dernier n’est pas si mauvais, mélangeant des sons House et Acid…. Je m’étais également amusé à faire quelques petites animations avec Scream Tracker. Pour le « Acid », on a donc compris… pour le Tribal c’est moins claire…. et pour le Break Time,… ben tout simplement, une petite pause pendant ma période de bloc !
Tiens s’était l’occasion également de féliciter Michael Schumacher pour sa première victoire chez Ferrari, sur le circuit détrempé de Barcelone;
Well sometime i realy didn’t have inspiration for the title of my songs. And this one was not so bad, mixing House and Acid sounds… I also took time to make funny animation in the Scream Tracker.
I also would like to announce the first winning race from Michael Schumacher with the Scuderia Ferrari on the rainy track of Barcelona.
