Petite pause pendant les examen,… et réalisation de ce petit morceau de Dance à la sauce Culture Beat, tiré de la compilation Dance Hit 5.
Un petit coucou à V-Drums (Vivien Vanoirbeek), Pascal Deiting, Naguy (Christophe Wagner), Aurore Carpene, Angélique Carpene, Pierrick Hansen, JedD (Jean-Denis Magis), Vanessa Richel, Romuald Dispa, Ludovic Remacle, DJ Dub (Christophe Deblire), MegG (Laurent Rosati), Grégroy Dierckx, Geoffrey Dierckx.
Small pause during my study time… so i’ve realised this tiny euro-dance songs sounding like Culture Beat, with sounds coming from the CD compilation Dance Hit 5.
Il faut bien dire que je commençais à bien maîtrisé ce style mélangeant Dream music et sons Techno-Rave que j’aimais à appeler « Air Mix’. Dans ce nouveau morceau, j’ajoutais cette fois à la mélodie piano un accompagnement à la flûte de pan un peu ethnique et un joli sample « Somniak » du début des années 90, le tout en me limitant à 8 pistes. Un dernier morceau de rentrer en période de bloc, sans accès à mon PC.
Une dernière occasion de faire un petit coucou à DJ Dub (Christophe Deblire), Bruno Devalkeneer, Cédric Vanrutten, Caroline Lepaily, V-Drums (Vivien Vanoirbeek), Parmy (Laurent Mazzapicchi), Alain Rinallo, Pascal Defossa, Ludovic Remacle et bien sur Aurore et Angélique Carpene.

I should admit that i began to be good to write such kind of Air music, mixing Dream and Rave sounds. That time i added some ethnic pan flute to the piano’s melody and a kwel « Somniak » vocal sample from the nineties, with only 8 tracks. The last songs for some days, cause i’ll began to study for my exams.

Petit morceau réalisé pour mes amis MegG (Laurent Rosati) et DJ Dub (Christophe Deblire), un morceau un peu plus Hardcore Jungle inspiré nottament de quelques sons samplés hors du CD de The Prodigy – Out of Space.
Tiny track written for my friends MegG and DJ Dub, back to hardcore and jungle. Inspirated from sounds sampled out of the CD of The Prodigy – Out of Space.

Oki, vous souvenez vous de la New Beat ? Chez nous en Belgique, la New beat, précurseur de la techno a fait grand bruit avec de nombreux artistes… Même le grand Jojo s’y était mis,… ou nos ministres, tel V.D.B.
Mais le plus grand représentant de la New Beat fut sans conteste Peter Vanderhallen, dit « le géant », leader du groupe Confetti’s (tiré du dancing du même nom). Le premier morceau fut The Sound of C en 1988, rapidement suivi de C in China, … l’un des premiers vinyl de ma collection.
Près de 10 ans plus tard, il m’est venu l’envie de tenter une reconversion de ce 45 tours au format Sound Tracker, me lançant donc dans le sampling de quelques sons issus de ce tube,.. .ainsi que de Basic Theme ou The Sound of C, pretté par mon ami Vivien Vanoirbeek.
Actuellement je rêve toujours d’un retour du groupe Confetti’s,… voir de moi même le faire revivre !
… Tiens vous remarquer le petit homage à Hergé, Les dupont dupond… Bref Tintin et le lotus bleu…

So well, you should remain the New Beat time ? Here in Belgium, New Beat (always called House Music) was the electronic music period just before Techno in the end of the eighties. Lot of local artist wrote their new beat title as Le Grand Jojo… but also politician with « V.D.B. »…
Anyway the greatest artist was Peter Vanderhallen, leader of the Confetti’s band. The first song called The Sound of C was written in 1988, quickly followed by the song C in China… between my first LPs.
Close to 10 years later, i had the idea to reconvert my vinyl to Sound Tracker Format so i began to samples somes sounds of that hit… and also from Basic Theme and The Sound of C, from the album borrowed by my friend Vivien.
Right now, i still dreaming of a Confetti’s come back… or may be rework that songs…
Avec un peu de patience, revoici une production bien plus intéressante… un retour à la Dream musique et ses jolies mélodies au piano mélangée au beat et sons techno… Et tiens tiens, on dirait bien que le concept pris dans Classic of House d’ajouter à cette formule quelques instruments de musique classique avait refait surface, avec à mon goût un bien meilleur usage de flute et de violon…

Just wait … and there is a more intersting production… Back to Dream music and its quiet piano’s melodies, mixed with techno sounds and beat… And well, i should admit there was a link to the song Classic of House, cause i’ve tried to add again some classical instrument… sounding better in this track.
A special hello to Alain Rinallo, sound producer, that i’ve met with my friend Vivien. I’ll visit his sound’s studio for the first time… and then dreaming to produce a Cyborg Jeff’s album… and have the same work !
En quelques jours, j’enchainais donc les titres de Dream music, le 3° en 4 jours, et pour l’époque des titres bien aboutis et intéressants. L’idée ici… vous voilà mort… et les anges arrivent pour vous emporter… Toujours ce mélange de mélodie au piano et de sons techno-rave… avec cette fois un appuis de la mélodie à la flute de pan et un beat un peu plus Drum n Bass.

In few days, i finished lot of Dream music titles, here is the third in 4 days and for that time, great and intersting songs. The ideas here was… You’re dead. And the angles come to drop you to the paradise. Still mixing piano’s melodies and techno rave sounds… but here with the help of a flute pan and some Drum n bass rhythm.
L’inspiration Boris commence à bien se mettre dans ma tête depuis mes échanges avec Pascal et Ludo. L’envie de faire des morceaux de Dream musique, musicalement dans le style de Robert Miles mélangé dans le futur par des histoires bizarres telles celles de Boris… La mélodie au piano est un petit peu inspirée du titre Jaelous Guy que je viens de trouver sur vieille K7 de John Lennon dans les affaires de mon paternel.
Ce nouveau morceau entame réellement le début de la nouvelle air « Dream music » qui sera marque de fabrique de Cyborg Jeff pendant un bon moment… musique électronique et jolies mélodies…
Les instruments viennent en partie de mon Yamaha PSR 210 mais également de samples réalisés par mes amis Pierrick Hansen et Laurent ‘Parmesan’ Mazzapicchi.

Ce morceau sera bien sur présent sur mes différentes compilations K7 de l’époque et apparaitra enfin dans la ré-édition CD de l’album Planer n’est pas jouer.
Boris inspiration began to be on my mind. I want to write Dream music as Robert Miles that i’ll mix with strange stories counting, as in Boris. The piano melody was inspirated from the song Jaleous Guy that i’ve just discovered on a very old tape of John Lennon in my father’s stuff.
This new song is the beginning of the brand new Cyborg Jeff Dream music period with electronic music and fresh melodies.
The instruments came from my Yamaha PSR 210 but also from friends samples of Pierrick & Parmesan.
This song appears on the old tape i recorded in 96 and was on the new CD edition of the album « Planer n’est pas jouer ».

Bon, je vous rassure les trucs hardcoroïdes de ce genre vont commencer à tout doucement disparaitre. Une fois de plus Laurent Rosati, Christophe Deblire et moi faisions mumuse sur un ryhtme hardcore très très basique, … jouant avec quelques samples pris à la TV hors de publicités, ainsi que du film Labyrinthe…
So well, those stupid hardcore songs will disapered… Once again with Megg and DJ Dub we decided to play with some samples getting out TV advertising and Labyrinth the movie in an hardocre set.

A peine les vacances terminées que je me retrouve derrière le PC avec mes deux voisins Christophe ‘DJ Dub’ Deblire et Laurent ‘MegG’ Rosati, chacun avec un nouveau CD. Une compilation Cherry Moon et le Tekno Computer. De quoi ce mettre à l’ouvrage pour réaliser un nouveau morceau Techno inoubliable !
Holiday just finished, i’ll be back on my computer with my two neigboor Christophe Deblire and Laurent Rosati, both with a new CD. a Cherry Moon compilation and the Tekno Computer. Enough to start a new great techno track !

Les premiers morceaux sous le nom de Cyborg Jeff , c’était dès mars 1996 !
Et voilà donc petit à petit les morceaux commencent à s’estampiller « Cyborg Jeff », avec toujours une petite mention « Mc Piet » pour la transition. Ce morceau n’a lui rien de bien original, dans le style Rave Techno Amiga.
Une petite dédicace à : Laurent ‘Parmy’ Mazzapicchi, Vivien ‘V-Drums’ Vanoirbeek, Cédric ‘Vanoïd’ Vanrutten, Xavier ‘Xalope’ Vanhoorik, Pierrick ‘DJ 3.14’ Hansen, Pascal ‘Vegeta’ Deiting, Romuald ‘Valyum’ Dispa, Caroline Lepaily, Christophe ‘DJ Dub’ Deblire, Salvatore Canicatti, Laurent ‘MegG’ Rosati.
So time after time, new songs was signed « Cyborg Jeff » with a small mention to Mc Piet for the transition. That songs was not so original just using sounds from Rave Techno Amiga tracks.
