That day, master Piek came at home after a long delay… I was alone and then i could focus him on a Fast Tracker seance..
He had an excellent idea : realising a Demo (production of Demoscene World) with my bros Pype for PPP Team Software, and then we will prepare him a great song… something Funk and Scene… So we began to sample guitare’s riffs from the Pype’s Fender… without amplification, just plug it on my soundcard and add some distortion with Fast Tracker…
Introduction of dreams was not exceed 1 minutes… it’s a short essai… but I didn’t have enough memory to add more samples… anyway other “parts” will be created later for this dream voyage….
Should i target that song as a cyborgjeff’s one or not ? The original sound-tracker version was used in the the MS-DOS game Innerworld realised by Sleepless software. I have first ripped the .MOD original song with a specific software as I had done wich games like : Halloween Harry and Mystic Donjon, but have I enough added things to the original song ?
Sure, in 2001, my new re-arrangement of this song was a plus, but this “Trance 97″ version is so close the original… I’ve just used the power of Impulse Tracker compare the first Fast Tracker and its 4 channels limitation… Anyway that songs was a big reference in future production, so i choose to add it here… but be conscient that all the beauty of the original melodies came from the croatian musician Nikola ‘Juice’ Fox.
Here is once again a track written for one of our PPP Team Software productions, still realised with the Game Maker : Twinnbee.
Some of you remember a Konami’s production of Super Nintendo called : Twinbee… and sure the two games were linked.
That project was first realised by our mangamaniac Pascal ‘Vegeta’ Deiting who integrated the konami tiny robot univers in the Game Maker, than my brother Pype began to rework the graphism… he also a big fan of the Super Nintendo game, that he often watch some VHS recording play on TV.
So i try in my audio track to be close to the Super Nintendo spirit…
I love the The SID sound processor of the C64 since a long time ago… Sure the first game i played on this computer not use its power, anyway soundtracks as the one from the game LOCO64 (using a Jean-Michel Jarre arrangement) and later the one from Chris Huelsbeck or Rob Hubbard were excellent !
In the start of the nineties i was recording my C64 music game on audio tape… so here is the start of this production. My brother Pype had created some tiny loop samples to be close to the C64 sounds. Sure there should a lot of work to be more closer, anyway it could be among my first Chiptune creation, using the 6 tracks compatibiliy of the PPP Team Software S3M Player.

Yeah end of holidays was coming. And i’m sure that at that moment i had my brand new computer, a Intel Pentium 120mhz with 8mo of memory, an hard drive of 120mo, a new sound card and a CD-rom optical drive ! All that let me load more samples in memory, that needed to do this new megamix. Anyway, i could tell you that i don’t have produced more song during that time, i’ve played many races of F1 Grand Prix 2 that i’ve bought one year before… as if i don’t have the right computer and a CD-Rom to let it run !
Well in this new megamix, you could find some classic Dance song and some personnal creations as a song once again written for the computer magazine : PC Fun where i still hope to be released.
Voilà encore une production qui pourrait se distinguer dans le magasine PC FUN ? …. et un petit coucou à mon ami Tentacle Bob (Valentin Boigelot)
That day, with my friend V-Drums who have just receive a very big electronical Roland’s piano with a 16 tracks onboard sequencer, we’ve planned to test it and recording a song from our friend, guitarist and soundtracker Parmesan. We worked on Outer Space adding it a Dance MIDI mood with saxophone parts and also Trancy Robert Mile’s like piano… For a MIDI creation, that sounded great. Unfortunatly i probably will not keep the MIDI file as at that time, that was not intersting on my Windows 3.11 running on my 80386 DX 40… I was hardly waiting my brand new computer, a Pentium 120 !
So well, back at home and still the song in mind, i re-tracked it on Scream Tracker III adding some guitar parts to be sure Parmy like it ! To help according all the samples i was using a ADLIB reference instrument
Well a new production that may be added on PC Fun ?? and a hello to my friend Tentacle Bob.
So well, remember that few month ago, i spoke about my friend Sebastien Valenti who give me for my birthday the CD Best of of the cult euro-dance formation 2 Unlimited. So i made a megamix in sound tracker format today ! and why not speak about that formation again ?
In 1991 i discovered the hit Get ready for this. I was crazy about that synthe sound and the melody was so different than the other Techno Rave track from that period… During the birthday of Laurence Thurion, i find it on the CD Compiltation Turn up the Bass… But at that moment, they have new hits : Twilight Zone and Workaholic. Twilight Zone was also the generic music from an RTBF broadcast, presented by Sam Touzami, speaking about new video games…
In 1990 the two belgian producer and compositors Jean Paul Decoster and Phil Wilde launch their first production under the name “Bizz Nizz”. In 91, they met Ray Slijngaard (the rapper), introduced by their common friend Marvin D from the formation Quadrophonia. Ray work in the same place than Anita who also sing after his work in a female rap formation : Trouble Sister. Ray first sing in the Bizz Nizz last single, but Phill and Jean-Paul have just finished a new song that could be more intersting with vocal parts.. They propose the project to Ray and Anita… 2 Unlimited was borned.. Get Ready for this will be 1st in UK, 4th in Belgium, and 2nd in Australia… and also NBA official sound track…
Among new sharewares i’ve found those days, there was a VGA asteroid-like under MS-DOS, funny and with digitalized sounds called Astrofire. I didn’t need more to imagine it an sound-track for that game. So here is my first shoot’m up music production. Also my first stereo production ! I was trying to use the new potential of my brand new sound card… As if at that time, my computer have lof of difficulties to work in that audio mode.
Just wait … and there is a more intersting production… Back to Dream music and its quiet piano’s melodies, mixed with techno sounds and beat… And well, i should admit there was a link to the song Classic of House, cause i’ve tried to add again some classical instrument… sounding better in this track.
A special hello to Alain Rinallo, sound producer, that i’ve met with my friend Vivien. I’ll visit his sound’s studio for the first time… and then dreaming to produce a Cyborg Jeff’s album… and have the same work !
