Voici un morceau très inspiré de Faithless - Insomnia et Sash! - Encore une fois, dans une boite “6 pistes” dédiée aux aventures de Bilou. J’imaginais ce morceau pour un combat entre Bilou et un méchant boss dans un marais humide… sans trop vraiment penser plus loin à quelle monstre, à l’heure actuel, c’est plutôt un gros crapaud qui a la cote, mais vu l’aspect “speed” du morceau, je voyais bien les choses de manières assez proche au combat entre Rayman et le moustique… d’où le titre de ce morceau !
Here is a track mainly inspirated from the Techno song from Faithless and Sash!, worked around a 6 tracks arrangement for the Bilou’s Adventures… I was imagined the song for a fight between Bilou and a big boss in a dark bayou.. No idea about the boss morphology, for now, probably Toad have a chance, but at that time imagine something more speed as the battle of Rayman and Moskito… that explain the title of this song !

Oh, la méldie de B.B.E. était loin d’être sortie de ma tête, et ce jour là , en piochant quelques nouveaux samples à gauche et à droite, j’étais tombé sur une douce petite clochette que je trouvais vraiment parfaite pour me replonger dans un nouveau remix… Ce dernier se décline en 2 partie, d’abord une version un peu Slow écrit pour Delphine, puis un démarrage un poil plus électro.
Coucou à Tbob, Parmesan, V-Drums, Pierrick, Pypein…
Oh, the B.B.E. melody will never get out of my head. And that day, searching new great sample, i found an intersting bell instrument that was the start of this new remix… I first started with a Slow part, dedicated to Delphine, thant switched to a more electronic part.

Bien que je n’ai aucune maitrise dans l’art d’être DJ et de jongler avec des platines… je n’en restais pas moins très envieux de pouvoir moi aussi mixer de la musique… Je m’étais alors mis en tête de tenter de reproduire le genre de prouesses en samplant quelques loop et scratch réalisés sur mes vieux vinyls de New Beat… dans un petit voyage en Chine, en Afrique puis en France…

Allé petit concours pour les membres de Creative Sound Studio (Tbob, Pype et moi), réaliser un petit modules d’au moins 15 patterns en utilisant tous les instruments du module et en 8 pistes…
Mwouaip, je me suis rapidement permis de passer à 16 bits au final… pas bien, pas bien… mais je me suis vraiment amusé à faire ce petit mod avant de passer chez Tbob (Valentin Boigelot),… petit hommage à la batterie de mon ami Vivien Vanoirbeek, … après le joli solo dans Sunday Bloody Sunday… je remet un couche !
Ype, little concours for the Creative Sound Studio member (Tbob, Pype and I) realising a small module with at least 15 patterns and using all the instruments from the original VPC1.it in 8 channels.
Well, i finally switch to 16 channels, to finalize the mod before going to Tbob’s house… A hommage to the V-Drums drumkit, just after realised a great drum part in the track Sunday Bloody Sunday.

Bon, ne rigolez pas, j’ai découvert le groupe U2 en 1996, avec les titres Sunday Bloody Sunday et With or without you… A l’époque, toute la culutre pop rock m’était complétement inconnue, après Les Beatles et les Shadows, j’avais embrayé sur la New Beat, la Techno et la Dance, faisant totalement l’impasse sur des groupes tels que U2, Depeche Mode ou encore R.E.M.
Bref, en 96, avec notre groupe de musique Virtual Music, je découvrais via Pierrick Hansen puis Mr Teddy Bear ces deux morceaux… Nous avions un concert, il nous fallait du sang neuf, exit les John Lennon et Johnny Be Good… Sunday Bloody Sunday sera l’un de nos morceaux clefs, et présent dans chacun de nos concert… Si dans le premier concert je jouais la ligne de basse au synthé pendant qu’un séquencer s’occupait du reste, par la suite, je m’occupe des lignes de strings et violon… et quelques fois des choeurs avec mon frangin Pype.

Vous constaterez qu’en fin de module on peut voir apparaitre un “Final CD Version”… le titre était prévu pour faire partie de l’album Divagation, mais n’a pas été retenu pour éviter des problèmes de Copyright.

Don’t laugh, i only discovered the pop band U2 in 1996, with the songs Sunday Bloody Sunday and With or Without you… In fact, my pop rock culture stops with The Beatles and The Shadows and switch to New Beat, Techno and Dance Music… so i only heard songs from Depeche Mode, U2 and R.E.M. at that time, with my Virtual Music Pop Formation…
Pierrick and Teddy Bear realy like the sound of U2, we needed at that time new influence for the concert of “La Mare aux Joncs” and then we trashed John Lennon and Johnny Be Good for Sunday Bloody Sunday, that would be a key song for our band.
In the first concert, i only played bass theme with my keyboard during a sequencer played the violin parts, but later, i’ll do it myself and sometimes also sing chord parts…
So, i finally would like to write a dance tracker version !

Sur toute l’étape de ma vie dédiée à la musique à la mode Tracker, je n’ai perdu que ce titre : EGO.IT, ce titre Trance inspiré de la veine Faithless / Sash! est assez réussi, et j’ai heureusement pu récupérer le fichier rendu de l’album Divagation.
A l’époque, je ne pouvais pas backuper aisément mon travail, les graveurs CDs coutaient une fortune, les CD vierges aussi, je n’avais d’ailleurs un lecteur CD-Rom que depuis peu… A l’époque, j’avais un peu plus de 50mo de musiques, sur un disque dur de 200mo… j’avais comme sauvegarde un gros fichier ZIP en une grosse quarantaine de disquettes.
En juin 1997, une catastrophe arrive ! L’un de nos disques-durs de transfert se détache de la tour et tombe fracassé le disque principale ! Les données sont alors irrécupérables, et mon frère et moi devons faire le tour des amis pour retrouver ce qui n’avait pas été backupé !
Coté musique, seul EGO.IT n’aura pu être restauré de mon gros ZIP, bloquant à la 30° disquette… heureusement que mon frangin Pype a pu récupérer la suite de l’archive…
Par contre nombreux de nos jeux PPP Team furent perdus dans l’histoire : Bloodwar, Bruner & Ice ou Spector…
During all my musician life, i only lost this title : EGO.IT, hopefully this trance track inspirated from Faithless and Sash! could be grab in MP3 format out of the CD album Divagation recorder few weeks before the crash !
Yep, june 1997, one of the two hard drives of our computer felt on the other, and all data was lost… Lot of PPP Team Software game will not be restored from friend’s copy as Bloodwar, Burner & Ice or Spector,… about my music, i had a big backup on 40 floppies… on a ARJ files… but disk 30 will not be correctly readable. My brother Pype, could let it restart on the next disk, but EGO.IT was completly lost !
